Rich was born and raised in New Jersey and began buying real estate as an investment in 1993 while working for a Fortune 500 Company. There were times when he would leave his day job only to begin renovations on an investment property and work through the night. He has a willingness to work hard and has personal experience with home renovation and repairs. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Unlike many real estate professionals he began as an investor but realized he really enjoys the business, and his work experience always involved assisting staff and/or helping clients/customers.

Rich worked for Systemax for over 12 years but after numerous promotions and company downsizings he was left with having to end the careers of his staff and accept a relocation or a severance package. He opted for the severance with the real estate investments producing monthly income. He and his family had been considering moving anyway so this all worked into their plans.

The New Jersey real estate market seemed destined for lesser financial returns in the near future and after some comparative research it seemed the Cary, North Carolina area offered huge potential. Cary seemed the right place at the right time as it is a wonderful place to raise children and has been recognized by many publications as one of the top towns in America for various reasons, but the cost of living here vs. New Jersey is substantially less.  So in December 2002, after selling most of his real estate in New Jersey, he and his familily moved to Cary. Within a couple of years he sold the remaining real estate in New Jersey and RLB Real Estate was established. "RLB" is both "Reliable Licensed Broker" and his initials.

Rich is not only an investor but a provider of real estate services as well. This is not just a job but rather a passion that he enjoys discussing and sharing with others. He works harder than most when representing you and does not hesitate to share information that can assist with buying/selling and negotiating, and Rich thoroughly enjoys negotiating! His simple philosophy is buy right, sell right. He is not a "real estate agent"  although he is a Realtor, but rather he is an investor who helps others. While other companies are charging excessive commissions and only providing adequate service, Rich charges much less with better service and he represents both buyers and sellers.
